Working from Home Isn't What I Expected

I started freelancing a year ago thinking it would be like having my own little oasis of freedom. I imagined long stretches of uninterrupted work, lazy mornings in pajamas, and evenings spent reading or watching movies without the need to rush home after a commute. But here I am, staring at the same four walls every day, feeling more isolated than ever before. My friends still have their daily office routines and lunch breaks with coworkers, they get social interactions that feel so out of reach right now. I miss those random conversations about the weather or last night's TV shows. Even my cat seems less interested in playing lately. It feels like everyone else is moving forward, while I’m stuck here, feeling more and more disconnected each day. Sometimes, when it’s quiet, I just sit at my desk with a cup of coffee and pretend that this room isn’t filled with only the sounds of me typing and the hum of my computer.
