The Magic Wand in Toys Section

So yesterday at work, I was shelving toys when this kid came up to me with a wand from Harry Potter and asked if it worked. Now, being a total Harry Potter fan myself, I couldn't resist the opportunity to make their day! So I said 'Sure thing, kid,' pretended to tap the wand on my head, and made an exaggerated face of concentration before declaring, “Abracadabra!” The little one's eyes went wide with excitement, and they thought it was real magic. They ran off with a big grin while I laughed to myself, feeling like I just cast some good old retail wizardry into their day. It might have broken company policy on product interaction, but seeing that kid’s smile was worth the thrill of pretending to be a magician for a moment.
