Why Do I Keep Buying Those Books?

I keep buying these random books, like it’s some sort of unhealthy obsession or something... I mean, yeah, sure, sometimes you read them and they are great but other times it's just a waste of money. So why do I keep doing it? There must be a psychological reason for this behavior, right? Maybe I feel more intellectual when I have my own books on the shelf? Or maybe there’s some dopamine kick from getting that new book smell as soon as you open it... But really, how many unread books can one person actually collect without feeling guilty about wasting money and space? Any ideas why this happens to me...?
