I Broke the School's Camera on Purpose

Today in school, I did something really stupid. In science class, we were learning about circuits and electricity by building them with wires and batteries. We had a camera set up to record our experiments for review later. Curious and bored, I decided to connect one of my circuit wires directly to the camera's power button hoping it would just light up or flash in an interesting way. Instead, all hell broke loose! The camera instantly fried with a puff of smoke and loud crackling sound as sparks flew out from under its casing. Our teacher rushed over yelling at me to stop what I was doing but by then the damage had already been done. Now they're trying to figure out who did it since no one else was around my table. I feel terrible about breaking school property on purpose like that, even if it was an accident caused by curiosity and mischief. The look of shock and disappointment on my teacher's face still haunts me. I wish I could just go back in time and build something harmless instead.
