I Told a Tiny Lie to Get My Siblings Off My Back...

So here's the thing... I'm the middle kid in my family, and sometimes it feels like everyone else thinks they know what's best for me. Mom and Dad are always trying to make sure I do all these chores and stuff... but I just wanna chill sometimes. One day, they were nagging me about taking out the trash again, and I was so tired of hearing it. So I told them a tiny fib, like 'I already took it out last night,' when I totally hadn't. It felt good for once to have some control... but now every time I see the trash can overflowing, it reminds me that I lied. I don't think they caught on though... and I kind of want to tell them just because maybe then I'd get a break from all this nagging about chores. But... who wants to deal with consequences for lying? So I'm keeping quiet for now...
