Why Did I Eat All The Snacks?

Anonymous Scandalous Schemer #344 · General

So here's something that happened last week that still has me scratching my head. On Thursday evening, my colleague Lisa and I were planning to grab some snacks for our late-night coding session. We hit the snack aisle at the store, both of us selecting a variety of items, chips, candy, cookies, you name it. But once we got back to the office, something bizarre happened. As soon as I opened the boxes, before even offering any to Lisa, my hand just started reaching in and grabbing everything without really thinking. One bag of pretzels after another, followed by all those cookies... The whole thing was kind of automatic, like a weird form of snack hypnosis. And there it is, still puzzling me, why did I eat all the snacks? Was it stress eating because we were up against a tight deadline? Did my brain just go into survival mode and think 'Snacks = fuel for coding'? Or maybe it was sheer exhaustion from our endless meetings and not having enough real meals during the day. Whatever the reason, here's hoping this doesn't become a habit!
