Petty Lying About Grades

My older sister always had better grades than me despite not putting in as much effort. Last year when she asked how my midterms went, I lied and said everything was fine. In reality, I barely passed a couple of subjects while getting A's elsewhere. To keep up appearances, I pretended to be doing great even though I knew it wasn't true. It might sound petty but sometimes it feels good just not being compared to her all the time. Of course, now as we're both older and less competitive about these things, I don't have any reason to lie anymore, which is a relief.
