My Grandkid's Obsession With Minecraft

You know what really gets under my skin? This whole Minecraft business. I mean, every day it’s 'Grandpa, can we please play Minecraft?' And then the kid spends hours staring at a screen building something that will fall apart in a week anyway! It's all blocks and little trees and no one cares about the real world anymore. But you know what? I decided to teach him how to fix old cars instead of letting him spend another minute on that game. He had to help me clean out this rusted pickup truck we found abandoned behind my garage, and now he tells everyone he's going into auto repair! It's funny because it's also true, the only way to get kids off their screens these days is by showing them something real they can actually use later in life. And besides, who knew that old rusty trucks could be so engaging? I guess you learn new things all your life, huh?
