New Kid in Town Struggles

So I just moved to this city last week, and honestly, it's been one big mess. First off, the traffic is CRAZY! Every time I try to drive somewhere new, I end up circling around for what feels like hours before finally figuring out where I'm going. Plus, everyone seems to be in such a hurry that honking at me like crazy isn't helping either, let's just say that. And then there's the social aspect. I joined this local community group thinking it would be great for meeting people and getting involved with activities, but turns out some of the posts are more about sharing unsolicited advice than actual events or plans. The latest one was someone ranting about how new residents should know better than to eat at certain restaurants because the locals just don't like them. Yeah, I've already made a mental note not to do that, maybe I'll start my own thread on avoiding newbie mistakes. Anyway, today's adventure was getting lost while trying to find this supposedly hip coffee shop everyone raves about online. After wandering around aimlessly for what felt like an eternity, and after accidentally running into someone who then called me a tourist (in the most unkind way), I finally gave up and went back home. I guess my question is: Is it really just this difficult to adjust, or am I making mountains out of molehills? And seriously, does everyone else feel as lost as I do at first when they move somewhere new?
