sad day at work

i had a really rough day today at the office and ended up telling my boss i was sick just so i could go home early and hide under my blankets all afternoon. i know it's not a big deal but i feel terrible about lying, even if its just for one day to feel better. is this something everyone does once in awhile? i hate feeling like a liar
