Granny's Little Secret Garden

Anonymous Meddling Gossip #582 · General

Oh my, I must confess something to you all! You see, there’s this little garden plot at the back of my house that no one ever sees. It’s been my secret sanctuary for years now. Every morning, before even having breakfast, I sneak out with my tools and seeds. Sometimes I bring a little stool just so I can sit amidst my flowers and veggies and have a chat with them as if they were old friends. I’ve had this lovely spot going on for what feels like decades, but only recently did I think about expanding it into something bigger. You know how you sometimes get these crazy ideas in your head? Well, I’m considering turning the whole back yard into my little botanical playground. Imagine that! It’s not just flowers and herbs though; oh no, there are all sorts of vegetables too, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, and my favorite, strawberries. Now here’s where it gets a bit tricky. My neighbors think I’m quite eccentric with this hobby of mine, which isn’t exactly wrong considering the scale I dream about for expansion. But you see, gardening has been such a source of joy and peace for me that I can’t help but want to share its magic with everyone around. So here’s my question: Is it alright to be slightly obsessed with your garden if it brings you so much happiness? Should I just let my neighbors know more about what I’m doing and perhaps even invite them over one day soon? Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
