when i played my friend's games and lost them all

so like, me and jason rly good friends at school. he got this cool game on his tablet and it was super fun but also kinda hard to get far in. so one day while hes out of town for a soccer tournament, i go over to his house. no one else there cause its like saturday morning, parents both working or smthng. just me, his dog roxy, and the tv room with all his toys and games. so yeah, i end up playing this game on jasons tablet. totally meant to be for a short time but ends up being hours n hours of me trying to beat the last level. im so close though! i just gotta keep going... i dont stop til like 2pm. by then roxy has been barking at me, wants out n stuff. when i finally do, i look back at jasons tablet and oh no, it crashed on me during one of the hardest parts. all those saved points r gone now, i can barely even get into the game itself. im scared to try restarting cause might lose more progress or worst case lose everything in that account. i go over to jasons house this week after school, hoping he wasnt paying much attention and wouldnt notice. but then he looks at me n asks right off the bat if i had anything todo with his tablet crashing. omg im sooo busted. felt bad enough without him actually blaming it on me outright. i dont know what to do now, or how to explain this to jason. weve been best friends since kindergarten but i feel like ive messed up big time n might lose his trust or something. its honestly kinda hard not to cry rn thinking about it.
