My Neighbor's Beautiful Garden Became My Playground for Pranks

So there’s this neighbor who’s always bragging about her garden. It’s like a little Eden right next door, flowers, statues, even a tiny fountain that she uses to water all the plants. Every time I look out my window and see her fussing over it, all I can think is how much of a pain it must be. I started off with simple pranks. One day, when she wasn’t around, I planted fake spider webs between her roses. Then, last week, I was feeling particularly cheeky and decided to put some hot pink paint on the fountain pump while it was running. The spray went everywhere, over the plants, statues, and even onto her freshly laid mulch. When she got home that evening and saw all the mess, her face was a picture of horror and shock. I tried not to laugh too hard behind my curtains as I watched from inside, but it was impossible to resist the urge. The funny part is, she’s still trying to clean up the disaster even now. Every day, I peek out to check on her progress (or lack thereof). It’s a small kind of rebellion against someone who has always been so smug about everything in their life. I know some might call me an asshole for doing this, but honestly, I don’t care much about what others think. If she wants to brag about how perfect her garden is, I’m going to have my fun too, and it’s totally worth seeing that look on her face every day.
