When I Was Younger Than My Grandkids Are Now

I remember when my grandkids were just little tots with their first teeth and diaper leaks. Back then, I was still spry enough to teach them how to ride a bike without training wheels! Can you imagine? I used all these tricks I learned from my own dad, but now it seems like they're the ones teaching me new things every day. But you know what? That doesn't mean I don't miss those days when I could still bend over and pick them up without feeling a twinge in my back. Anyway, speaking of bike riding, did I mention that I also taught my son how to ride as well? And let me tell you, there were more scrapes and tears then than with the grandkids. But that's probably because I was tougher on him, right? Or maybe it’s just because they’re now better at avoiding tumbles. Either way, those moments when we’d all get back up together are some of my fondest memories.
