My Secret Netflix Obsession at Work

Hey everyone, I've been feeling really conflicted lately. So here's the deal, I'm a freelancer who works from home for a tech company, and I have this huge secret that I think might be crossing some lines of professionalism. First off, my job involves lots of coding and design work which can get pretty repetitive and tiring after hours of staring at screens. That's when my dark side comes out, I start browsing Netflix while I'm supposed to be working on projects! It all started innocently enough; I would watch one episode of a light comedy series during lunch breaks or right before calling it quits for the day. But lately, I've been going overboard. Sometimes I find myself watching an entire season in one sitting when I should have been drafting up proposals or testing out new software integrations. The other day, I had a deadline looming but instead of diving into my work, I ended up binging on a TV series for three hours straight! Why am I confessing this? Well, it's not just about the time wasted, it's more about how I feel afterward. There’s guilt and anxiety knowing that I'm falling behind or failing to meet expectations but also this sneaky satisfaction from escaping into these fictional worlds temporarily. So here's my question: Am I the asshole for letting Netflix take over while neglecting real responsibilities? Is it just a harmless break, or am I truly jeopardizing my career and professionalism with this secret habit? I'd really appreciate any thoughts on whether this is normal behavior or if I need to pull myself together.
