I Admit My Nerdy Obsession

Alright, I'll just come out and say it. Lately, I've found myself completely sucked into the world of Dungeons & Dragons with my grandkids. We've been rolling dice and building elaborate storylines together for weeks now, but every time we sit down to play, I feel this silly rush of excitement that makes me blush like a teenager. It's embarrassing because here I am, someone who grew up before tabletop games were even a thing, getting all giddy over elves and dragons. And don't get me wrong, it's fantastic spending this quality time with my grandkids, I love every minute of it! But there’s something about their enthusiasm that rubs off on me in ways I didn’t expect. So here's the question for everyone: are you an older person who has discovered a new hobby or game through younger family members? How did you handle those initial feelings of being out of your comfort zone?
