I Broke My Brother's New Game Console on Purpose

So this is something I'm really not proud of. A few weeks ago, my little brother got a new game console for his birthday. It was like a fancy version of the one we had when we were kids, with all these cool games he wanted to play. But here's the thing: I've been feeling jealous because he gets all this attention lately and it seems like everyone is always talking about his new toy. So last night, after he went to bed, I got really mad and accidentally dropped it down the stairs. It was so loud but I pretended nothing happened and stayed quiet until I knew for sure it wasn't working anymore. When my parents found out this morning, they were devastated. My brother cried and now there's a big fight about who is going to pay for it. Part of me feels really guilty about what I did, and another part wonders if maybe he'll be less obsessed with his console now that he doesn't have it anymore.
