Just Started Drawing

I recently started drawing and it's kind of embarrassing because I suck at it. I'm like 30 and everyone thinks you're supposed to know how to draw by now, right? So, yeah, I picked up a sketchbook but whenever I look in the mirror, all I see is this weird stick figure with no nose or mouth staring back. It's like my brain knows what it wants to draw but my hand doesn't listen at all. And then there was this one time when I accidentally drew on the window of our car instead of paper, I was so focused and missed the surface completely! So now everyone in the family calls me 'Sketchy Steve' behind my back, which is probably not accurate since I'm pretty sure my name isn't Steve, but you get what I mean. Back to drawing...
