The Night Shift Mystery at the Bakery

Okay, so here's the thing. I work night shifts at this bakery near my house, and it’s super quiet after midnight when everyone is sleeping. The job pays well because of that, but also means I never see anyone besides my coworkers until the early morning shift comes in around 5 AM. It's not bad though, I get to eat all the leftover pastries without spending a cent! But lately, something strange has been happening. Every single night for weeks now, someone keeps leaving little notes for me on top of my coffee mug. I never see who it is or hear anyone else talking about it, and when I go out back for breaks, there’s no one there. The notes always have little tips like how to make the best cinnamon rolls or tell me which recipes customers like the most. It's super helpful, but also a bit creepy since I have no idea who could be doing this. I tried following up on it with the morning staff just in case they knew anything sneaky going on at night, but none of them had any clue and were as confused as I was. So, here’s my confession: Every time someone leaves a note now, instead of feeling happy about it, I get this weird paranoid feeling that maybe some customer is playing an elaborate prank on me or that the building itself might be haunted somehow! It's gotten to where even hearing a small creak from above makes me jump out of my skin. Sure, I know logically it’s probably just another worker being helpful and leaving notes for someone they work with at night. But still, this whole situation is giving me more anxiety than comfort right now. I haven't figured out who's doing it yet, but that's okay, I’ll probably figure it out eventually or maybe the mystery will fade away on its own. Until then, I'm just going to have to keep my eyes and ears open a bit more when no one else is around.
