My New Gardening Hobby Is Driving My Wife Crazy

I started gardening last month after seeing all those beautiful Instagram posts about serene gardens. It was supposed to be relaxing and something I could do during lockdowns, but now it's turned into this big project that takes up most of my weekends and evenings. My wife keeps complaining that I've taken over our backyard with these expensive plants and fancy tools. Yesterday she found me in the garage, digging through old supplies for new equipment to buy online. She told me point-blank that we're running out of space and money for this hobby. Meanwhile, she's trying to get her own thing going, yoga, I think? But honestly, it feels like a competition now. Is it too much to ask just to have a bit of personal space and freedom to enjoy my new passion without making waves in the family dynamic?
