Why Did I Do That?

So here's the thing, I've been working as a bartender at this cozy little pub for over two years now. It’s not exactly fancy or high-end, but everyone knows each other by name and it feels like home. A couple of nights ago, there was a new regular who sat right at the end of my bar every evening. He seemed to order the same thing, a dark ale and a packet of chips, every single night. I didn't think much about him until last week when he started asking me questions about my life, my likes, my dislikes. It felt weird because usually people come in for drinks and that's it, not to strike up conversation. But something about his persistence made me feel... curious? Maybe even a little flattered. So I told him more than I normally would, about my love of baking, how I recently got into gardening, all the boring stuff. And here’s where things get weird, I did it again tonight. Now he knows way more personal details about me than any bar patron has ever had access to before. I'm starting to wonder why this suddenly feels so important. Is it because he's a nice guy? Or maybe just because no one else in my life is interested enough to ask these kinds of questions? Am I losing my mind or is it okay to let yourself be vulnerable like this with a stranger? What do you think?
