I Told A Tiny Lie About My Homework ...

So yeah, I sorta fibbed to my parents about finishing that history assignment... It wasn't even for a good reason really. Just too lazy to actually do it. But here's the thing: once they asked, I felt so guilty and embarrassed I didn't want them seeing how unfinished everything is in there. So instead of getting help or just owning up to being behind on stuff like I should... Well, let's just say I was quite creative with my excuses that night. It made me feel kinda bad though, 'cause I know they're only trying to support me and make sure I'm doing okay. But here’s the weird part, I don't even feel all that guilty about it anymore because it worked out fine, didn't it? That's maybe what bothers me most of all... wondering if telling lies will become a habit just to dodge some hard work or responsibility. Still, at least for now, I'm pretty sure if anyone finds out they'll be disappointed but not the end of the world, right? ...
