Patient Files Are Boring

Anonymous Tipsy Gossip #980 · General

Every day at work, I flip through patient files and charts like it's my job, which it is. But let’s be real, most of these notes are about as exciting as a long list of numbers or worse, medical jargon that makes me want to take a nap. Today though, something caught my eye in one file. The patient was talking about how their pet goldfish had died and they were feeling sad over it. I mean, yeah, it’s a death but seriously? It's just so... not what you expect in a medical record. Makes me wonder if this is normal to feel for a tiny fish that lived in an aquarium the size of my hand or if there's something wrong with me for thinking it's odd to log pet grief as a health issue. What do y’all think about this? Is it just me or does anyone else find it kinda strange?
