When I Forgot Why I Came

Last week, my grandson took me out for a drive and suggested we visit his favorite ice cream shop. On the way there, something popped into my mind that needed doing immediately, something super important! But once we got to the ice cream place, I realized I had forgotten why I was in such a rush to start with. The worst part is, we were sitting there, and he kept asking me about it. 'Grandma, what’s so urgent?' he’d say, and all I could do was stare at my sundae with a blank face, hoping the memory would come back. Eventually, I just laughed it off and said I needed to buy stamps, totally random and silly, but it got us out of there without too much embarrassment. Now that this happened, I’m starting to wonder if everyone forgets things like this all the time or if it’s something I should talk to my doctor about. Have you ever forgotten why you went somewhere? Is this normal for people my age?
