Artistic License Gone Wild

I was sketching at a coffee shop when I noticed my crush sitting alone. My hands started shaking as I thought about approaching them but instead, I decided to draw them from afar, stealing glances every few minutes for inspiration. It's not like it's wrong to draw someone, right? But there’s this nagging feeling that maybe I shouldn’t have. Did they notice me watching and sketching them? I’ve never really seen myself as a stalker or someone who invades others' privacy, but here I am. Was it okay for me to do what I did? Are people allowed to draw others from afar without permission?
