I Told A Tiny Lie To Get More Dessert Last Night
Anonymous Sly Flirt #716 · General
So last night after dinner, my parents had made this delicious strawberry shortcake and put a huge slice of it on the table. It was so tempting that I ended up sneaking another small bite while everyone else wasn't looking. Anyway, right before we were about to start eating dessert, my younger sister starts complaining she's not hungry anymore after all that food we had earlier. She usually loves desserts like me and our older brother. So naturally, everyone thought it was just a phase, but here comes the tricky part: I knew if she said no to the cake now, she'd never get any because Mom would save it for another day or give us smaller portions later on. So, I casually mentioned to Dad that my sister might actually be full since her tummy has been grumbling lately. He nodded and then decided to split the piece between me and our brother instead of letting everyone decide themselves at dessert time. The funny thing is, this tiny lie ended up backfiring because when Mom found out later, she got mad thinking I had manipulated the situation just so we'd have more cake left for us. Anyway, it's been bothering me since then how easily people can be swayed by a little fib even though my intention was mostly selfish. But here’s the deal: I still feel a bit guilty about making my sister miss out on her usual dessert share and playing the tummy grumble card just to get more cake for myself. Guess that's why they always say actions have consequences.
