the office coffee run debacle

soooo i work as a software engineer and there's this big old coffee machine that everyone uses at work. i mean it's like the heart of our office, ya know? everyone gets their morning coffee from there to get started with the day. but i have a thing for saving money. and when we ran out of one kind of pods (the decaf ones) i was like oh crap these cost way too much! i should save them all up and use the regular ones instead because they're cheaper... yeah i know, silly right? but i convinced myself it would be okay bcause everyone drinks a lot of coffee so no one will notice, you know? so i went to buy more coffee pods for work. but when i was at the store all the decaf were on sale and then there was this promotion where if u buy 10 regular ones they're like half price. i got sucked into that deal... and yeah... brought back those cheaper ones instead. then yesterday everyone's complaining about how bad the coffee tastes, but i didn't have the heart to tell them it's cause of my little scam bcause saving money feels good too haha. now im kinda regretting not just telling the truth and being upfront about it. still thinking about whether or not to fess up tho... what would u do?
