Started Woodworking, Feel Annoyingly Happy

So, I started woodworking this week. Got some reclaimed wood from an old barn down the road and just carved away at it without much planning. Now, there’s this guy who lives near me and he walks his dog past my place often. Today while working, a little plank of wood flew off and hit my finger, I barely noticed it hurt! I’m kind of surprised how happy woodworking makes me feel sometimes when the guy walks by with that cute dog. It’s strange. Is there something weird about being really happy because someone passes by?
