The Red Pen

I recently marked an assignment with red ink instead of the usual blue or black, hoping to add a little excitement for the students. It didn't quite go as planned, students started whispering about who had used 'the teacher's special pen,' and it became more distracting than motivating. The whole day felt off, like I was overthinking every small thing. Perhaps it’s time to stick with my usual methods instead of trying to be too creative or out of the ordinary. Sometimes less is indeed more.
