Caught My Teen Sneaking Out Late Last Night

So I know I'm supposed to be all about keeping my kids safe and everything, but let's get real. I was pretty proud of myself last night when I caught my teen sneaking out after curfew. Yeah, it might seem like the wrong thing to feel proud about as a parent, but there are two sides to this story: first, she managed to make it all the way down the street without me hearing her, and second, she was planning on meeting up with friends who know our rules better than some of their parents. She actually texted them asking if anyone had a secret hideout or something safe for an after-curfew hangout spot! I mean, isn't that just clever? Of course, I still made her explain everything and get grounded, but honestly, I couldn’t help being impressed by her sneaky skills. It's hard not to be when she has all these plans in place like it’s a spy movie or something.
