Parental Prank Gone Wrong

Okay, so I'm guilty of this one and now it's time for some major karma. Last week, when my kids were away at their grandmother’s for the day, I decided to give them a little scare as a surprise upon returning home. I hid behind our front door with a silly mask on, ready to jump out and yell 'boo.' But instead of scaring them, they literally ran in the opposite direction screaming. My poor husband had to chase after them laughing his head off while I stood there feeling like an idiot. Did I mention they're only 5 and 7? Yeah...pretty sure this stunt was not age-appropriate at all.
