Feeling Outdated in the Classroom

I recently started teaching at a new school and while I’m trying my best to adapt, there are times when I feel like I’m not keeping up with today’s tech-savvy kids. Last week, we were supposed to use an app for our class project, but I couldn’t figure out how to log in properly despite spending hours watching tutorials and reading the manual. The students noticed that I was struggling and felt bad for me; they even offered to help during recess. It’s frustrating because part of my job is to make sure kids can stay current with technology, yet here I am lagging behind them. I wonder if other teachers feel this way too or if it's just me being old-fashioned? Is there something wrong with not knowing everything from the start? Should I be more proactive about learning new tools, or is it okay to ask for help without feeling like a failure? What do you think?
