I Told A Little Lie About My Coffee Break...

So today at work, something really small but kind of funny happened. You see, my break was coming up, and I had this sudden craving for a blueberry muffin. But there's one problem: our store is super strict about sticking to your scheduled breaks... So instead of admitting that I wanted a snack mid-shift (which would have been against the rules), I said I needed to take a personal call outside in the alley behind the shop. Yeah, it was totally unnecessary and could've waited for my actual break time. But you know how sometimes these tiny lies feel like such a big deal at the moment? I just felt so excited about getting that muffin... And now every time someone looks at me suspiciously from inside while I'm out there munching, I giggle to myself because they'll never guess what's really going on.
