Stole Socks and Never Felt Guiltier

So yeah, I stole a pair of socks from my older brother's drawer last week. It was just because I couldn't find any clean ones of mine left in the laundry basket. But here’s the thing, he found them missing right away, and started accusing everyone else around us like it was some big mystery. He never even thought to look at his own stuff. So when I confessed after about an hour of him making a fuss, he just got mad for no reason because apparently my socks were some special edition pair he's been hunting down online. Not that I care or anything, but now whenever he mentions something is missing, I get this weird paranoia where I think it’s me again, even when it clearly isn’t. But hey, who needs a full set of socks anyway?
