I Broke My Roommate's Lamp on Purpose

Ever since the day we moved into our dorm together, my roommate has had this habit of leaving their dirty dishes in the living room instead of taking them to the kitchen. It’s not a big deal really, but it drives me absolutely nuts. Last night, I couldn’t take it anymore and I snapped. I waited until they went to sleep, grabbed a stack of textbooks from my side of the room (to make sure there were witnesses), then tossed them with force across the living room. One landed right next to their lamp, causing it to fall and shatter into pieces. When they woke up this morning and saw the mess, I pretended to be just as shocked as them. I’ve been feeling so guilty all day though, not because of what happened exactly, but because part of me feels like I got away with something I shouldn’t have. What if they find out? I can’t stop thinking about it.
