Spilling My Coffee All Over The Boss's Desk

So I started this new job a week ago at this fancy office building downtown. Everyone here seems so professional and put together. Anyway, today, as part of my orientation, they wanted me to meet everyone in the company, including the big boss himself! So, I'm standing there with this cup of coffee that was too hot for me to drink while I waited for my turn, and I suddenly feel like it's going to explode or something. Next thing I know, it just... poured itself all over the boss's pristine wooden desk, right where he was working on some super important documents! Everyone gasped, and I froze with my hand still in mid-air holding the empty cup. I mean, I felt terrible at first, but then I kind of wanted to laugh because it was like something out of a sitcom. It’s not every day you get to be the center of attention for such an embarrassing reason! The boss seemed really nice though; he laughed about it and told me to be more careful next time, which actually made me feel better. I guess the takeaway is that even in these fancy offices, everyone spills coffee once in a while.
