Too Busy For My Own Good...

I've been working from home as a freelance content writer for the past year now. It's been both liberating and challenging to handle my own schedule, but lately I feel like it's gotten out of hand. Clients are piling up emails and calls faster than I can answer them, and my deadline is always creeping closer. I try to maintain a balance by setting strict working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, but the line between work time and personal time has blurred so much that now it feels like every moment outside of those hours is for catching up on pending tasks or brainstorming new projects. I started feeling overwhelmed about a month ago when I agreed to take on an additional project at the last minute. It was only supposed to be a small gig, but it quickly turned into something far more extensive than what we both had initially discussed. This left me scrambling to meet my other deadlines while trying not to disappoint this new client. To make matters worse, I've been neglecting some personal commitments too, missing weekly dinner plans with friends and canceling family outings. The thing is, even though everyone around me seems to think I'm doing well (or maybe they just pretend not to notice), I find myself constantly stressed out and anxious about falling behind. My health has started showing signs of strain as well, I've noticed more frequent headaches and trouble sleeping. It's like my work has taken over every aspect of my life, but if I stop, will everything fall apart?... So, here's where I'm at now: I need to find a way to regain control without losing too much in the process. Should I push back on new clients until things stabilize? Cut down hours and take more breaks for myself? Maybe just quit cold turkey and start over with something else entirely? Am I being unreasonable by expecting both success and personal fulfillment simultaneously? Or am I simply setting myself up for failure by trying to do everything at once...
