Late Night Snack Fiasco

I've been working on my dissertation late into the night and decided to grab a quick bite from the vending machine. I dropped in two quarters for chips, but when they got stuck midway down, I panicked and jammed another dollar coin into the slot, only to have both snacks get hung up mid-air like some bizarre mechanical art installation. After trying every solution short of dismantling the whole contraption with a screwdriver, I left empty-handed, feeling utterly defeated by an inanimate object.
