When Old Toys Become Heavy Hearted Memories

I found my old teddy bear under my bed the other day. You know, the one with half a button and that musty smell? It was all dusty and looked like it had been there for ages. I just stared at it for a while before picking it up to give it a hug. Man, does it feel weird now, holding something that used to be my everything but is now just an old stuffed animal. Childhood feels so far away sometimes. Why did we let go of all these things? What's the point of growing up if you can't keep your childhood with you? Anyway, I started thinking about my first pet goldfish... Poor thing died after two weeks because I accidentally overfed it. Mom was mad but also said fish are delicate and I should try again one day. Never did though. Maybe next year when I have more time? Nah, probably not. But if you're out there reading this, little Goldie (I named her), I'm sorry for the mess I made in your bowl back then. So yeah, what do you guys keep from your childhood that's still meaningful to you? It feels like a small comfort knowing others have similar attachments.
