Why Did I Do That?

Ever since my daughter started high school, I've noticed this guy named Alex in the PTA meetings. He's just a dad helping out like everyone else, but there’s something about him that gets me thinking more than usual. Maybe it was his kindness when he helped set up chairs for our annual event last week or how he talked to my daughter with such genuine interest during a school play. Anyway, one night I found myself typing an email to the PTA group instead of just sending Alex a direct message. It’s like all these feelings have built up inside me and now they’re making decisions without my permission. Is it weird that as a parent, I’m developing this strange admiration for another dad? Or is there something more going on here that I need to address? Any advice or perspective would be greatly appreciated.
