Pulled a Sick Day Just to Read Books

Hey there, folks! So I know nurses are supposed to be pillars of health and duty, but let's get real. Sometimes, you just need a break from the constant rush and drama at work. I recently called in sick, not because I was actually ill, mind you, but because I wanted an excuse to binge-read my favorite book series all day long. It’s not like it’s the first time either; every few months when things get too hectic, I think to myself, 'Why can't a hospital be just a quiet library?' And this time, instead of fighting the urge, I gave in. Was it justified? Probably not by anyone else's standards. But sitting there with a stack of novels and endless cups of tea felt pretty damn good. So here’s my question: Is it ever okay to take a day off from your job for something as trivial as reading books?
