My Study Buddy Trick Failed Miserably

I tried to impress my study group with this fancy math problem I thought up. I wanted to show off how smart I am and get some extra credit from the professor. But when we went over it in class, turns out I made a dumb mistake on the setup, totally screwed up the logic. Everyone was just looking at me like 'what?'
