My First Week Mistake at Work

I started my first job just last week as an intern in marketing for a small tech company. On the surface, everyone seems friendly and professional. But I made this massive mistake on Monday. During our team meeting, right after lunch when everyone was still full of food and maybe not fully focused, I accidentally announced to the entire office that we needed to 'cancel all the emails' instead of saying we had to cancel a specific email about an upcoming event. The confusion in the room was immediate, with people looking at each other wide-eyed. And then my manager tried to explain what I actually meant and calm everyone down while I just sat there, frozen and red-faced. It felt like hours before someone cracked a joke and we could move on. Since then, every time we discuss emails or have lunch meetings, I can feel myself getting nervous and sweaty all over again, waiting for the moment when someone will point out how foolish I was. I've learned my lesson about double-checking what I'm saying and eating lighter lunches before important meetings.
