The Office Snack Thief....

So here's my story from work... I've been at this company for almost 30 years now, and I've always prided myself on being a model employee. I mean, let's be honest, after all these decades, there aren't many of the original crew left around. But lately, something has been bothering me.... Our office keeps running out of snacks way too fast for my liking... cookies, chips, anything really.... Now, don't get me wrong, I know how to share and I never take more than a handful at a time. It's just that... these snacks seem to vanish into thin air within days! We order enough to last us a week or so, but they're gone in no time at all... and it makes me grumpy.... I've tried talking to our office manager about it, suggesting we put the snacks behind lock and key like other companies do. But she said that wouldn't be nice for everyone who needs a quick pick-me-up during the day. And I understand her point... but seriously! How can you not see me glaring at you while scarfing down an entire bag of chocolate chips in one go?.... So, what am I supposed to do here? Should I just grin and bear it or maybe start hiding snacks under my desk? Am I being unreasonable for getting upset over office supplies? Anyone else ever had a similar issue with coworkers stealing your treats?...
