I'm Afraid to Face My Teacher After Class Prank Gone Wrong

Okay, so here’s the deal. I’ve always been kind of a joker in class, mostly joking around with my friends during breaks or lunchtime when there are no teachers around. But one day, things got a bit out of hand and it all went downhill from there. We were talking about how funny our science teacher was, but also how they can sometimes be strict and take everything seriously. One friend joked that we should put a funny prank in their room to lighten the mood when they’re feeling down. The idea kind of stuck with me after that. The next day during class, I had an inspiration while everyone was distracted with notes. I quickly wrote some goofy stuff on the whiteboard about why our teacher is secretly the coolest person ever and just needs a fun break from school rules once in a while. After class, before leaving the room, I snapped a quick pic to show my friends later. But then panic hit me, what if someone saw? I didn’t think about it again until after lunch when our teacher asked for five minutes of quiet time to talk with each student privately. My heart sank as they started calling names from A-Z and mine was near the end, which felt like an eternity waiting for my turn to face them alone. When I went in, instead of asking about homework or behavior issues, they showed me a picture on their phone, it was one of those goofy messages on the whiteboard. My cheeks burned red and I could feel how disappointed they looked when they asked if it was my work. It wasn’t like them to be so harsh, but now I’m not sure what to expect next time we’re in class together. Maybe this is karma for being a little too cheeky sometimes? Anyway, I’ve been avoiding eye contact with everyone since then.
