starting a new hobby is hard

so i started this knitting thing at school last week cuz everyone said it was cool and relaxing. i mean i kinda thought they were just being nice to me but i tried it anyway, you know? turns out its actually fun like the needles move fast and stuff so i got pretty into it. anyway today we had a project in class which is knitting a simple scarf and the teacher wanted us to share our work at the end of class. i knitted for hours though trying to make mine look perfect i mean my first few attempts were just... bad. they kinda looked like the cat chewed on them or something yknow? so instead of sharing that one i used a scarf i made last year and just showed everyone it, it was the first thing i ever did and not very good but at least it looks better than today's work. the teacher asked me about my process and i tried to explain how hard it was this time around but she thought i was really confident and telling her how awesome i am at knitting. man it feels bad though like i lied a little, but who wants to admit they fail at something in front of everyone? now im worried people will think i know what im doing better than i actually do
