So here's this thing about my home office. You know how it looks like a cyclone hit and threw around everything in sight? Well, the funny part is I actually do have order somewhere in there, it's just super well hidden under piles of papers and random snacks. But let me tell you, when I'm trying to impress a client or potential collaborator by showing them my work space for the first time... it gets awkward fast. Last week, this new freelancer stopped by, and as she was about to turn away in horror at the sight of my desk (I could practically see her thinking, 'What kind of person works here?!'), I jokingly offered her a tissue and said, 'Welcome to chaos, our shared workplace language!' And you know what? We ended up laughing it off and had such an easy chat about working from home that we've been great buddies ever since.
