Forgot Grandchild's Birthday

Last week was my grandson Tommy's birthday, and I completely forgot! How could I? He's only nine but feels like the world to me. My wife reminded me at dinner when we were talking about old times, and I felt awful. I tried to make it up with a big cake and presents later that week, but there's nothing like getting it right on time. Now everyone knows, including poor Tommy.
