Mistaken Orders

Last night at work, while sorting through a pile of orders for the warehouse, I accidentally swapped two packages. One was supposed to go to New York and the other to Los Angeles. When I realized my mistake just as the delivery truck was leaving, it was too late to stop them. The recipient in L.A. probably thinks they got a package from N.Y., and vice versa. I didn't want to admit it because fixing this mess would mean hours of paperwork and maybe losing my job over something so stupid. Now every time an order goes out, I'm haunted by the thought that I could be causing more confusion.
