I Let My Cat Take Over the Home Office

Working from home as a freelancer isn't always glamorous. Today I had a meeting with a client who was supposed to see my carefully organized desk and workspace, but instead got a view of a tiny cat kingdom. Mittens, my little calico, had taken over every inch of it, papers strewn about, half-eaten snacks, and even her catnip toys scattered everywhere. I didn't feel like organizing before the call because I thought I could do it after, but now there's this awkward moment where I think maybe she'll see me rearrange everything onscreen. I'm not sure if she knows what she did wrong or how to clean up. Maybe next time I should just get a bigger home office and build a cat-free zone with a clear boundary. But then again, why fight the adorable chaos?
